GUIDELINES FOR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

Our policy is to help those who have found themselves in a financial crisis as a result of extenuating circumstances. It is our desire, first and foremost, to be a blessing to current members of Zion Christian Fellowship and, secondly, to those attending Zion Christian Fellowship.
Everyone requesting financial assistance must complete the attached
“Benevolence Application Information” form. The completed form must be returned to Zion’s Operations Manager or Executive Pastor, along with a copy of photo ID and bills/invoices for which help is being requested, for referral to the Benevolence Team. Everyone requesting financial assistance will need to meet with at least two members of the Benevolence Team, following receipt of their completed “Benevolence Application Information” form, at a mutually agreeable time.
When you request financial assistance, you will need to keep the following guidelines in mind:

  • All financial assistance will be rendered by check written to a business, billing company, etc.
  • We cannot write checks to individuals.
  • Any requesting financial assistance should expect a delay of approximately 5 to 10 days before any check can be issued.
  • We are not in the position of being able to make loans.

Persons receiving financial assistance may be required to attend a financial meeting, equipping them to learn and apply Biblical financial principles in their lives.
Except under the most extenuating circumstances, if we are able to assist you, it will be necessary to wait six months before we can consider another request for financial assistance from you or your family.
As in every ministry, there are limits to the financial resources available. Because of that, we are limited in the amount of money available for benevolence. If we are not able to help you at this time because of limited funds or because your situation is not addressed by these Guidelines for Financial Assistance, please refer to other organizations that might be able to help you meet your need. If additional information is needed, see the Benevolence Operating Procedure or contact the Executive Pastor.
